W-TEC Cast Basalt
Manufactured from re-melted and recrystallized naturally occurring basalt outcrops its properties depend mainly on the chemistry of the natural deposit and the skill of the manufacturer, some of the latter open to debate at this time.
A good economic wear liner where mechanical conditions are not too demanding. Does not like high angle impingement or heavy impacts. Highly cost effective for ling straight pipes in laminar flow and limited velocity conditions.
